WELCOME TO BIOFUSION

Where Life Sciences Meet the Marketplace.

As a high school student, you're probably used to keeping your subjects in neat, separate compartments. But here, we blur the boundaries, showing you the fascinating ways in which life sciences and business coalesce.

OUR GOAL

Ever wondered...

...how biotech companies like 23andMe navigate the intricate world of genomics while managing the challenges of privacy and ethics? Or how corporations like Patagonia use biology-driven research to craft sustainable business models? How about exploring how cutting-edge firms harness bioinformatics to develop personalized medicine strategies?

BioFusion offers a window into this interdisciplinary world. We reveal the potential that can be unleashed when a biologist's mindset merges with an entrepreneur's spirit. Biotech Basics

In the next few decades, the biotech industry is going to churn out products that will dramatically change the way we live our lives and structure our societies. In a major sense, it already has in the last century. Synthetic Biology: Natural Manufacturing

One of the biggest challenges to shifting to a sustainable economy is pivoting away from the cheap fossil fuels used to make many of the materials needed for everyday life. But with the dawn of a new field that promises biologically synthesized matter, the life sciences may bring us the source needed to pave the way for a slew of sustainable material companies. In this blog post, we’re going to look at what synthetic biology is and how it’s going to shake up the supply chain in the years to come.
